According to the watchdog of MOFCOM, last week (July 22-28), the market prices of the edible agricultural products across the country dropped by 0.3% and those of the means of production dropped by 0.2% over the previous week.

　　In the market of the edible agricultural products, the average wholesale price of 30 kinds of vegetables was 4.07 yuan per kilogram, down 3.1% over the previous week, with the prices of cauliflower, Chinese cabbage and cabbage down 18.2%, 8.4% and 8.4% respectively. The average wholesale price of 6 kinds of fruits was 8.34 yuan, down 2.2%, with the prices of watermelon, grape, pear and banana dropping by 7.6%, 6.3%, 3% and 1.8% and those of orange and apple rising by 1.5% and 0.7% respectively. The wholesale price of poultry increased slightly. Among these, the prices of eggs and chicken were 9.86 yuan and 16.79 yuan per kilogram, both up 1.2%. The wholesale price of aquatic products fell slightly. Among these, the prices of chub, large hairtail and crucian and grass carp decreased by 0.6%, 0.5% and 0.1% respectively. The wholesale price of cereals fluctuated slightly, with the price of rice down 0.2% and that of flour staying the same as in the previous week. The wholesale price of edible oil dropped in general, with the prices of rapeseed oil and soybean oil down 0.6% and 0.4% and that of peanut oil up 0.1%.

The price of coal dropped slightly, among which the prices of blind coal, coking coal and steam coal were 905 yuan, 771 yuan and 584 yuan per ton, down 0.5%, 0.4% and 0.2% respectively. The price of non-ferrous metal decreased slightly, with the prices of zinc and aluminum down 1% and 0.1% respectively and that of copper up 0.1%. The price of steel fluctuated slightly, in which the prices of screw-thread steel and high-speed wire rod were 4109 yuan and 4209 yuan per ton respectively, down 0.2% and 0.1% respectively. The price of welded steel pipe was 4249 yuan per ton, up 0.1% and the prices of channel steel and hot rolling strip steel were 4172 and 4145 yuan per ton respectively. The price of rubber dropped slightly, with the price of natural rubber down 0.4% and that of synthetic rubber up 0.3%.
